OTONARI MIRROR

切り妻屋根の形をしたモルタル素材の壁掛けミラー。
街を歩いていると、取り壊された家の痕跡を見かけることがある。
建物の外壁に残された今はもう無い家型の輪郭。
それは、昔その場所にあった、誰かの生活の形なのだと心が動いた。
今流れている生活の姿を、その輪郭の鏡の中に映し出そうと思った。

A wall mirror made from mortar in the shape of a gabled roof.
When walking through the city, one sometimes comes across traces of a demolished house.
The outline of a house remains on the exterior wall of the neighbouring building, even though the house itself is no longer there.
That outline felt like the shape of someone's life that once existed there.
This mirror was made to reflect the life that is flowing there now within that outline.
